Making Good Turn Bracelets to Donate

On May 4th, we invited our friends to our colony for the evening and introduced them all to the meaning of Good Turn Week. We read the story of the Quiltmakers Gift to our Beavers and their friends. This story is a story of generosity and what it means to be generous. After they learned about the true meaning of the story, we taught them how to make their own Good Turn bracelets out of pipe cleaners, beads and shells. They were instructed that the bracelets were not theirs to keep, but to give away whenever they saw someone in the community doing something good. The Beavers and their friends made two bracelets each, and were excitedly talking about giving away their bracelets.
