Rover Scouts

The Canadian Path Rover Scout program is an opportunity for you to pursue your personal interests and share good times with others who share your values. In Rovers, you’ll set personal goals and work to accomplish them with the support of a mentor.

Rover Scouts in Canada use the metaphor of paddling a canoe as their Section’s symbolic framework. Over your time in Rovers, you will learn to confidently “Paddle Your Own Canoe”.

Summer Adventure

Summertime in Canada offers all kinds of great activities that aren’t available in the other seasons — so what adventures is your Section doing this summer? Now’s the time to start thinking about what summer adventures your Section would like to pursue! Don’t wait too long — some of your favourite parks and camps are already getting booked up.

Canadian Path Rover Scout Handbook

Scouts Canada is proud to present The Canadian Path Rover Handbook. This handbook serves as a key resource for Rover Scouts who are leading their Crews on great new adventures.

The Rover Scout Handbook includes information on the individual achievements Rover Scouts can pursue, and it outlines how they can be effective leaders within and outside their Crews.

This resource is critically important to Rover Scouts on The Canadian Path. It is currently available for free as a basic PDF, but an app version will be available this winter, with optimized content for smartphones. Watch for more information in ScoutScene.

We appreciate everyone who took time throughout the fall to provide their feedback on the draft version of this important resource. Your efforts have made these resources even better!
